The Madrigals are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift — every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigals last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.
The ever so magical Disney’s Encanto is part of Broadway’s participation in Nottingham Refugee Week this year. It is a story that offers a unique perspective of personal healing in the face of displacement and loss. It also remind us of the powerful experience when stories are heard, and when communities come together. We hope the screening is an informative way to inspire dialogue, deepen empathy, and stand in solidarity with those seeking safety and belonging.
Don’t miss our free Family Craft Club before the screening, from 11am-1pm – inspired by Encanto, we’ll be making our own magic craft candles.
