This film is an oral history project produced by the Association of Visitors to Immigration Detainees (AVID), marking 20 years of volunteer visiting to people held in immigration detention from 1994 to 2014.

It features interviews with visitors and ex-detainees who both tell of their personal experiences and insights into immigration detention and visiting, and the impact on them and their local communities, all captured in their own words through their thoughts, feelings and memories.
