Exhibition

When we create art we make a mark on a surface. When we arrive in a new place we make a mark on a community. Artists have been invited to create work reflecting on what it is to be a refugee in Nottingham.

Includes work from:

VOICES – Led by poet Ben Norris, as part of a residency for Inspire, young adults from Nottingham and Notts Refugee Forum have been working to create poetry that shares their voices and experiences. Their words will be accompanied by Ben Harriott’s photographs of the project, to form an exhibition which will tour Inspire’s libraries in the county, and make a showcase appearance for Nottingham Refugee Week at City Arts.

The Book of Ours – A book of artwork by Bulwell school pupils, responding to the children’s story My Name is Not Refugee.
