For Refugee Week 2026, themed around courage, this event highlights the resilience of women forced to flee conflict and persecution. Curator Diana Popescu, alongside guest speakers from Nottingham City Council and local women’s networks, share stories and insights. The programme includes a talk on Jewish women’s experiences, Julie Weiss’s escape from Austria, and access to the “Journey Exhibition.” Attendees will also hear first-hand accounts from refugee women about their challenges, experiences, and support in the UK today.
